Agony, My Friend In The Dark – A Collection of Haiku Poems

Warning: if misery is a current mood, do not read any further.

1. Agony, my friend

In the dark corner, surmise

My impending doom

2. Misfortune mature

In an Amalgamation

Evoking anguish

3. Great cloud of twilight

Which creeps in subtle states from

Dawn to dusk, untouched

4. Bloodline curse bestowed

Upon the fated bastard

Begat of brute loins

5. Deep the jaws of grief

That devours contentment,

To shit out despair

6. Divine fortune ebbed

As chance flees this dastardly

Game of existence

7. Vast tree, forsaken

The branch siphoned of majic

‘Til none prevail

8. Life manufactures

Anguish with every angle

No matter the trend

9. Nightmares manifests

From much dismay and peril

Dwindling all our hope

10. Suckle my pain out

From this broken place, derived

From all this sadness

Of a horizon sit still

Wavering above

Provides warm delicate touch

Bronzing everything

4. Illuminate being

Beams glimmer through trees despite

Diminishing glow

5. Copper source divine

Burnt orange embers sublime

Receding timeline

6. Majestic crown glow

Third eye projecting passions

The universe bless

7. Burning arrow rays

Depicts immortality

Reigning nirvana

8. Drift celestial

As we Gravitate towards

The guiding sunbeats

Muse of Mine —A Villanelle (Poem)

I now know the singular purpose of his lips
As his whispers form and conjure spells
In response, my chalice overflows, he is thirsty and sips

A Drinking in bits of me and sweet lusting, touching my hips Sultry brown eyes engaged for the longing mood compels
I now know the singular purpose of his lips

Kisses so rare, so sublime creating heart skips My marvel monarch invoking while incites In response, my chalice overflows, he is thirsty and sips

A His Charm speak more powerful than the sunlight His presence on par with those celestial beings I now know the singular purpose of his lips

Intentions bold, sets me on fire, as this muse fits
He is skillfully undoing inhibitions parting thighs In response, my chalice overflows, he is thirsty and sips

Touch, the love language he speaks, alluring me
The moon comes closer to glimpse, listens and tells
I now know the singular purpose of his lips
In response, my chalice overflows, he is thirsty and sips

Poem: Dark and Light

Time has a night and day

In between, I have given all that I can

Especially offered my heart

Which has been eaten as though it was an apple

Masticated, swallowed and digested

Never let that heart fall into the hands

Of someone hungry for theft

But without care for that which they hoard

Love being taken for granted

Left out in the cold

Is the coldest darkest night

All What It Seems -Poetry

Camera poised for poses of smiles and laughter

Concealing a union’s sunset

In a horizon of demise

Portraits foreshadowing tragedy

The fights that brewed and rumbled before

The capture of curled lips with crooked intentions

Memories to play the perfect role

For an audience of none

Poem: Focus On The Good

While the bombs go off about me

While the time-lapse scurries by

And my clothing drenched with mud and tears

And I

Just wondering while wandering

What happened

How I’d forget the details too

All the motions and how they connect

Through the motions, through duress

The distant bombs still tell of danger

And in this greatly catastrophic time

I found a crevice to hide, bound

And binding

Licking wounds encrusted with dirt and tears and blood

In belief that if I do so

Then perhaps all of this is dream

Not fact

12/7/2020 #Untitled Poem

Here comes night

I, tortured

Fighting sleep again

Which becomes

Too familiar

To the demon, Death

And falling, falling

Memories lost to a trickling end

But alive outside the reaches

Of the outer realms beyond me

Lost sense of self

Obliterated by the varied roles

In dynamic technicolor

Steadily played like

Keys on a Casio.

Everything is melodic until…

Every key harmonizing

Crescendoing into tones of doom

Who am I this time?

Time the illusionist

With it comes lessons learned

Titled the best trickster

The foe and if grasped right

The fiend that swallows

All semblance of your sanity

Photo: The Sticky Sweet Center (Poetry)

Fuchsia petals as a dress

Soft tulle blooms, reaching out

Inventing itself

As it sought to welcome you

Deep within, beckoning

Its world too small to glimpse

Lean in…

Then look closer…

Even closer…

Closer still…

Cherished Cycle of A Blooming Magnolia

This Magnolia Flower in its climatic point of its life cycle
Budding transition…
Up close in detail…
Petals peeping…
When it is in Full bloom
Focus…on this life…
The Waning Beauty
Still…An ever present and Eternal Beauty

POEM: Familiarity

Feeling around in the dark

We found you

Shapelessness

We placed hands together

Formed you

When it was posed as impossible

We held on

Time allowed and kept up

We profound

A melody fortunate

Trapped in the minds of those that we touch

And we touch

Often
